Grinding Gotland.
It was a cold fucken wintermorning here in Oskarshamn but we dragged our asses out of bed to collect our gear and get on the boat to Gotland.
Of course it fucked up from the very beginning. Fredde thought he should check the freshly burnt demos just in case and found that alot of the cd-r`s where damaged. To keep the deadline he took them all with him without going through them and left with Sverker in a hurry to pick up Mange and Daniel.
Mange was no problem but apparently our session bassplayer, Daniel, had overslept and we could start picking up our stuff around 25 minutes late according to our schedual...
Packing up on the gear went smoothly and with time to spare we got on the boat.
Though it was a storm around the swedish eastcoast the boatride went on without any disturbances and three hours after getting on the boat we sat feet on Gotlands soil. Or maybe we should say snow?
We got picked up at the terminal by Svante, the one arranging the gig and Tulle, a friend of Svante who also gave us shelter and helped out with alot of stuff around the whole gig.
At Effes we put up our gear and then went strolling in search of some booze.
By this time (around ten hours before the actual gig) Mange had already drank a pint of wine and was getting less nervous.
After that we got fed at Effes, some kind of vegetarian stuff. Kinda funny when you think about it. One death metal band and one grindcore band, all looking like they would eat a pregnant woman and drink blood if given the opportunity but we where served rise with vegetables, fresh salad and Pepsi...Hohoho!

However, when we where showed to the place where we would spend the night and well there safely we started to bring out the alcohol. Hell yeah!
A great pre-party with Tulle who got out his collection of kängpunk and grindcore which we enjoyed while drinking beer and killing time until the gig.

Well back at Effes we watched our supportact; Son of Earth who fucken slaughtered the place. That was some good OS-death!!!
When we went on stage and our intro started to flow out of the speakersystem we where totally loaded on beer, adrenalin and pure fucken frenzy! We played through our set, consisting of around 20 minutes of music in ordinary cases, in fourteen (!!!) minutes with the usual talking, discussing on stage and shit counted for.
People never knew what hit them! Hahaha!
People may say that we wheren´t as tight as Son of Earth (but then again we had a session bassist with us that had rehearsed for around a full two hours before the gig) if they like to but by God, we played faster than most bands that have ever played Effes before...
We did a few minor mistakes (that noone probably noticed anyway) and our support from the audience wasn´t as good as for Son of Earth (duh, they are a local act, what´s it to expect?!) but overall we did one killer performance.
If anyone was fast enough to mosh with us they will surely remember us for the rest of their lives...
After the gig we had an after-party with Svante, the arranger and some locals. We had a fucken blast I tell you!
Going home the day after on the boat for three hours in the worst storm/blizzard in twenty years wasn´t all that fun but we survived, got home to Oskarshamn safely and where fucken happy about the whole thing.

The ones worth mentioning:
Danne "Arsonist" Rosenqvist who helped out on bass, "Hail and Kill-Svante" who made it all happen and made us feel more than welcome, Tulle for giving us roof over our heads and kängpunk/grind when we needed it the most, the guys from Son of Earth for being the greatest support-act ever and Effes for feeding us (eventhough they didn´t have pregnant women and blood on the menu). You guys fucken rock!!!
