A sign of life (with promises of death)
In the end of last week Art of Murder entered writing and recording mode.
As usual we didn`t waste much time so we wrote two new songs,
one being our first instrumental ever and made the long ago promised serious recording of the strongest songs we made a pre-prod demo of back in-07
(known as the politically incorrect recording).
All in all it will be seven tracks, three that noone has heard before and the four strongest tracks off before mentioned pre-prod.
As of now we are finished putting down Magnus backing vox on all tracks it`s required for, Sverkers guitars on six out of seven tracks and bass on five out of seven tracks. All recorded in Fredrik`s private Cess Pool-studio.
For now we`re on vacation gathering more inspiration visiting concerts with Iron Maiden and going to Wacken open air in Germany among other things and Fredrik will continue with the final recordings of guitar, bass and his vox in the Cess Pool and record the drums in the infamous Dimrakk studio in Umeå in the beginning of August.
Hopefully it will be finished around the fall and ready for release around x-mas this year if all goes well. How`s that for a x-mas gift?!

Some of the bigger news for some time now.
A few days ago we were given the opportunity to make a pre-production recording of a few songs that we´re going to record for the next release so we thought that it would be nice to have something to put up here for you guys and gals to enjoy.
It will be a while before we get the serious stuff out so this will have to do at the moment. But please, take it for what it is, a pre-prod recording with messy first takes, bloopers and all that shit.
We´re not sending this out to labels or zines, we´re just handing out a preview for all three of you fans to enjoy...
This weekend we start with the serious recording so I suggest that you bang your head to the noise found at the discography page and wish us luck. We´ll sure need it...

It´s been a month since the last update now. We have been on vacations and shit so that´s why there has been silence around here.
The demos are being praised by people who has heard it at least and we´re of course happy about that.
So now we´re looking for a label willing to release some of our madness. If you know of any such label, own a label yourself or know of someone who once fucked an owner of a label when he or she was drunk please drop us a mail and tell us all about it.
Also a newsflash that I sadly forgot to get up here was that the 12/7 the first review of the new demos came out and it was Fucked Up Beyond All Recognition which was covered by Goiter in the Global Domination webzine. Real funny stuff and dead on describing our sound.

The before promised demo and promo are now finished and released on this site.
The in real life releasedate is still pending but at least you can download the songs in mp3-format and save the covers if you want your own copy right fucking now.

The recording of the upcoming promo has been delayed until the third of june and also the mixing and mastering that was supposed to be done by swedish metal-legend: Dan Swanö, has been handed over to Ronnie Björnström instead because of Swanö being extremely busy with another project until the end of the summer.
So instead of waiting that long to get the material out to the public we decided that Ronnie could do it since he works fast and then we can use the services of Swanö at a later date when he has got the time to do it.
We´re also taking a break from everything until the recording session starts so that we can have some time for ourselves and refill the batteries before we start the writing of new material after the promo is finished.
So don´t expect too many updates before that.
We can also reveal that the title of the promo will be "Dead On Arrival" and it will contain three pieces of grinding madness.
Hopefully it will be finished in time to release it this summer.

We have good news and we have bad news. Let´s start off with the bad news...
After just about a month, Kimmy has decided to leave the band because he doesn´t have the time and commitment needed to join in on our plan for world domination. We consider it to be the best reason imaginable even if it´s a bit sad.
The good news is that this gives us the time we need to finish the material for our third demo.

Do you want heavy? I said do you want HEAVY?! Art of Murder gives you HEAVY!
Tonight we had our first session with the new bassdude and it went above expectation. We´re doing baby steps but in a, not so far away, future this guy will be a part of the murdermachine if he want to. Let´s all keep our fingers crossed.
As soon as he is certain that he is up to the task I will reveal his name and add him to the member section.
As if that wasn´t enough we have also started working on three new songs that we are very pleased with. It might be a step away from our roots but it´s probably just a side-effect from us becoming more secure on our respective instruments. So it was only a question of time as to when we would start to push the boundaries of our songwriting.
We really need to get our hairy asses into a studio damnit!
But we are confident that you will love it even if it´s not straight up grind anymore. We have kept the speed, even turned it up a notch, made longer songs and added some catchy riffing instead of just beating the crap out of everything for 45 seconds per song. It will not disappoint you, we promise.

Hey! Just wanted to let you know. The vacation is over and we´re back in rehersal.
Tonights session went great and we have written the best/sickest shit this far. As we all know we have done some great shit up ´til now too so this is really going to blow you away!
I just wish we could get into a studio sooner...
On sunday we´ll start to break in the new bassist and hopefully a guitarplayer too so we´ll be busy for some time to come. But don´t worry we´ll keep updating you here and will no doubtedly keep on writing sick material in the same pace as before.

This is the deal. I got drunk to kill a cold that has been waiting to burst out since november and when I was drunk I got an idea. Why don´t I make a fucken update of the webpage since my vacation from the band is over?!
That was that, I got to the comp and typed some html to please you fuckers and I made shit above my own expectations while listening to Monsters of death that blasted from my dvd-player.

Just wanted to let you know that the gig on Gotland went like a charm and we had a great fucken time, grinding through the 25-minute set in 14 minutes only ´cause of sheer frenzy! Now that´s tempo not to be messed with! Haha!

At this time we are going to take a brake from the grinding and focus on celebrating new years eve and such but first thing next year we will start breaking in a new full time bassplayer! He will remain anonymous until he has gotten a chanse to get the hang of it and feel out the band but I have a good feeling about this.

We are scheduled to play the gig at Gotland the 28:th of december!
Be sure to be there, we´ll play about seven news songs that will equal or outdo the songs off GTK so don´t miss it. It will be fucken slaughter!!!
By the way, the treat I told you of will have to wait a while. I got a bit carried away with all the gore and the video for Hellride became such a perfect visualisation of a hellride that we probably won´t be able to air it anywhere in the civilised part of the world... At least our test audience found "a bit strong".

We had signed up for an webradio-site that let you air your demo for free and after a complaint we where asked to remove our coverart or leave.
The funny thing about this was that they have a chart over the most viewed bands and most downloaded songs on the site and after we where called "sick bastards who gives bad taste a bad name" we got more hits than ever which sent us straight up to second place on the chart with almost the double amount of hits of the artist on place number three.
So all we need for complete world domination would probably be if someone pressed charges against us. Maybe someone want´s to blame us for a school massacre or something? That would be nice...

Soon we´ll have a real treat for you all. We have been working on some vid-clips for Hellride and maybe some of the other songs off GTK and they´ll be available for download as soon as they´re finished.
As you might imagine this will not be anywhere close to suitable for minors (or anyone else with a sound mind) but we know you sickos will love it.
Just imagine a sickening snuffpornflick with a great soundtrack and you´ll get the general idea.

The gig with Bloodride is cancelled due to transportation problems. Apparently the boats that are supposed to handle the traffic between Gotland and the mainland have a different schedule that very weekend so it fucked things up for us...
Let´s all stand up with our middlefingers in the air and shout "Fuck you very much Gotlandsbolaget!" (the company responsible for the boat tours).
Bloodride is still on but with another supportact.
We are going to grind Gotland to pieces though but that will happen another day, hopefully some time this winther at least. We´ll keep you updated.

Ok, we have some cool news for you.
Art of Murder has been offered a gig by Club of the unspeakable and are preliminary booked to do a gig as warm up act for Gotlands mighty Bloodride!
Of course there´s obstacles involved as always but we keep holding our fingers crossed.
If this killergig is going down we strongly suggest you to get your ass over to Gotland the 25:th of november and join the moshpit!!!
We have been writing some seriously sick killer grind deluxe since the demorecording. You know that we can´t just sit around and do nothing so we bust our asses in the bunker and write songs like there´s no tomorrow.
If you liked Grind Torture Kill you will absolutely fucken frown over the new shit we have written. And if you hated GTK you will still be amazed.
It´s dominating deathgrind at it´s best and without being modest for one second I tell you that this is the best brutal shit you will encounter in Sweden this year. Best of all, the new material will have it´s live premier on Gotland so don´t you dare miss out on it!
If you do you will probably shoot yourself when your friends that where smart enough to be there tells you how fucken awesome it was...

Some sweet updates this time.
The site is still under heavy construction and are lacking heaps of shit. Don´t worry. Everything will get up in due time. Remember that I have full time job that actually pay me money so this site comes in second place priority-vise.
We have recieved the final and finished cover from CJ and it´s killer.
Just because it´s so darn good I have put it all over the place so you won´t miss it even if you try.

Another sweet thing is that the final mastered versions (we did what we could with what we got, it´s not easy to turn goat piss into gasoline you know) of all the GTK songs with samples and such shit is up for downloading at the psychic evaluation-page.
This is the versions you´ll get when buying the real thing so there is no half songs and no fucken lame ass low quality samples either.
You can burn this yourself and mosh at home but then you won´t get the nice packaging with CJs killercover, stupid promopics of all the retards in the band posing and all that stuff.
Last but not least, we in the band will be fucken broke from making a bunch of copies to sell that noone bought.
And then we´ll start doing some heavy boozing to drown our sorrows.
